The Illuminati’s chief executive officer also came under fire for demanding that her underlings change their disguise every four or five years. ‘It’s one rule for senior reptiliods and another for the rest of us. They’ve been wearing the same Queen Elizabeth, Robert Mugabe or Bruce Forsyth costume for decades but I’ve got to pretend to be a completely different President of Canada once every five minutes just to keep David Icke from poking around – it just goes to show that democracy doesn’t work.’

London News

london riots, london, what happened in london, london riots 2011, london riot - England have canceled Wednesday's international soccer friendly with the Netherlands at Wembley on police advice as forces focus on dealing with rioting and looting in the capital.

"It is with regret that Wednesday's international fixture with Holland at Wembley has been called-off," the English Football Association (FA) said in a statement Tuesday.

A number of Tuesday's English League Cup fixtures, including West Ham United's game against Aldershot Town and Charlton Athletic's match with Reading have also been canceled.

British Prime Minister David Cameron is to hold crisis talks later Tuesday after three nights of riots, looting and arson by masked, hooded youths wrecked shopping streets in many parts of London and spread to other cities across the country.

The riots have spread to the midlands city of Birmingham, where England play India in the third test starting on Wednesday, as well as Liverpool and Bristol.

London News Bulletin: Youth Loot, Burn and Battle Cops for Second Night

london riots, london, what happened in london, london riots 2011, london riot : Looting and violence continues

Shops were looted and youths clashed with police in Enfield

Police have condemned a wave of "copycat criminal activity" across London in a second night of looting and disorder following riots in Tottenham.

Officers had been attacked and a number of police vehicles had been damaged, the Metropolitan Police said.

A Footlocker shop in Brixton, south London, was set on fire while other nearby stores were looted.

Three officers were hurt when a vehicle hit them as they tried to make an arrest in Waltham Forest, east London.

Disorder has also been reported in Enfield, Walthamstow and other parts of the capital.

Clashes broke out in Enfield, north London, on Sunday evening where shop windows were smashed and a police car damaged.

'Copycat activity'

Several arrests were made but police said the situation there had now been contained.

There have been reports of a gang of up to 200 youths looting shops and charging police in Coldharbour Lane and the High Street in Brixton, south London.

The Met said it had dealt with several incidents of "copycat criminal activity" across the city.

These included:

--Three officers injured after being hit by a vehicle in Chingford Mount, Waltham Forest, at about 00:45 BST
--More than 30 youths vandalising and looting a number of shops in Walthamstow and Waltham Forest
--Vandalism carried out by about 50 youths in Oxford Circus, central London
--A police vehicle being attacked in Islington, north London
--A Tesco store in Ponders End being attacked and items stolen

Journalist Padraic O'Brien told BBC 5 live he had witnessed widespread looting in Brixton.

He said: "They smashed a William Hill, they set bins on fire, etc...

"And now what we're seeing as the night progresses is that replicated, sort of flashpoints all along Brixton High Street.

"I've seen a Vodafone looted, I've seen a Footlocker looted and set on fire, I've seen Marks & Spencers attacked.

"I've seen a striking number of mobile phone stockists that have been targeted.

"I'm standing outside Halfords on the other side of the road and they've just smashed through the doors of Halfords. They're taking bikes out the front entrance.

"I have to say, what really struck me was the small number of police officers that there actually seem to be on Brixton High Street responding to this."

Press Association photographer Lewis Whyld saw looters battle police at a Currys store in Brixton.

He said: "A couple of 100 youths were rioting and looting. Riot police went in to get them out and there was a big fight in the street.

"Youths were throwing rocks and bottles and there was a bin on fire. They used a fire extinguisher to push the police back so they could get back into Currys and continue taking things out."

Rhoda Dakar also saw the trouble in Brixton.

He said: "I saw smoke coming from one side of the railway bridge. The was a strong toxic smell in the air.

"Youths were looting and running with poles - at that point I chose to leave and go home.

"You could tell youths were just out there waiting for something to happen."

Met Police Commander Christine Jones said: "This is a challenging situation with small pockets of violence, looting and disorder breaking out in a number of boroughs.

'In harm's way'

"We have deployed units across London and continue to move quickly to deal with any reports of criminality as soon as possible.

"Officers are once again putting themselves in harm's way to arrest those responsible and prevent further crimes. I am proud of their dedication and bravery.

"I, along with the vast majority of Londoners, condemn this mindless criminality. It serves no purpose and only results in the destruction people's livelihoods and communities."

london riots, london, what happened in london, london riots 2011, london riot, London Fire Brigade said it had been called to a number of fires in Enfield, Brixton and Walthamstow, including a fire at a shop on Brixton Road where 30 firefighters were tackling the flames.

The disorder follows rioting in Tottenham which broke out on Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning.

A peaceful protest over the fatal shooting by police on Thursday of 29-year-old Mark Duggan descended into violence later in the evening.

The unrest spread into nearby Wood Green and Tottenham Hale. Shops were attacked and looted, 26 police officers and three others were injured and buildings and vehicles were set alight.

Parts of Tottenham are still cordoned off, as officers and forensic specialists continue to examine the riot scene.

As well as Mr Duggan, a police officer was also shot in Thursday's incident, which happened in what was called a "pre-planned" event, under Operation Trident, which investigates gun crime in the African and Caribbean communities.

Kate Gosselin

Sorry, Jon! Kate Gosselin's Kids Want Her to Get Remarried

Guess who's back and ready to juggle eight kids along with some harsh criticism?

Yup, Kate Gosselin will be re-entering our lives starting tonight when her reality show Kate Plus 8 premieres its new season on TLC.

But before we get all hyped up on that, the mommy of many appeared on Today this morning to promote her series, and of course, the question of her love life came up.

Here we go again...

MORE: Jon Gosseslin's Personal Issues May Cost Kate Big Bucks

Kate shared that she's "definitely ready to start dating," and this isn't the first time we've heard this, but of course, being a mom of eight little ones and in the public eye can make that a little difficult.

"I think there's a lot of obstacles for me," she said. "But in all honesty, I've talked to my best friend and said wouldn't it be great if she could go around the country and collect suitable people, because the odds of me sort of bumping into someone are rare."

Is she hinting at another reality show?

Anyway, there are some people—eight little people, to be exact—that are pushing for her to get remarried.

Yes, those darling children are "just begging on a daily basis for me to get married again," she said. "They bring it up all the time, and I'm like, 'I don't...I'm not dating anyone.'"

You're not dating anyone yet, Kate. We're keeping our fingers crossed (and no, this isn't for our own guilty pleasure of watching her date someone. Well, not totally).

Kate Gosselin arrived in New York City Monday morning flanked by her trusty bodyguard Steve Nield, and RadarOnline.com has all the photos of the radiant mother of eight.

The 36-year-old Kate Plus 8 star looked stunning in a knee-length bright blue dress as she signed autographs for waiting fans after her interview.

Gosselin admitted to The Today Show co-host Ann Curry that her kids are constantly "begging for me to get married again!" saying, "They bring it up all the time."

"There's a lot of obstacles for me. I hope to just, sort of bump into somebody. I talk to my best friend and say wouldn't it be great if she can go around the country and collect suitable people," Gosselin said.

"The odds of me sort of bumping into someone are rare. I have eight kids. I have a crazy work schedule. There are a lot of obstacles. I am ready to start dating again."

Speaking of dating, Gosselin struck out on a new episode of her hit TLC show when she invited a hunky bystander into the Washington, DC, cupcake shop they were filming in and offered him a baked good.

Not only did the unsuspecting guy reject her cupcake because he wanted gluten-free, but he didn't even know who Gosselin was!

Kate Plus 8 airs Mondays on TLC at 9/8c.

Kate Gosselin Says Kids ‘Begging’ Her to Get Remarried

No offense, Kate Gosselin, because momming is hard work- but if I were one of your eight offspring, I think I might wish there was someone else around to take the heat every so often, too.

Gosselin- one half of the former Jon and Kate plus eight brood that became slightly smaller when Jon swanned off to make bad decisions all on his lonesome- says the Gosselin kids are keen on getting a stepdaddy up in there after their parents’ acrimonious and reality-TV chronicled split.

Kate has been doing a spate of publicity, and talks about dating again in interviews. But, the mega-mom admits, a relationship with her comes with a lot of complications, including her almost-half-a-Duggar-clan sized family. She recently told Billy Bush:

“Obviously, this time, I’m looking for somebody older, wiser, patient, strong… I have humongous obstacles… I’m doing mom things so it is a true concern, like how will I ever be out there to meet somebody?”

On the challenges of finding time to lure a fella while securing a sitter for eight, Kate says to Ann Curry:

“I’ve said a lot of times that I’m ready to start dating. I think there are a lot of obstacles for me. I hope to sort of bump into somebody but in all honesty, I talk to my best friend about wouldn’t it be great if she could go around the country and collect suitable people?

“The odds of me just sort of bumping into someone are rare.”

Not only are the Gosselin kids keen on Kate finding a man, she says, they want her to do it like, yesterday. She explains:

“I don’t know where life will take me. I am hoping that the person is out there because the kids on a daily basis are begging for me to get married again. They bring it up all the time and I’m like, ‘I’m not dating anyone’.”

No word on how ex-husband Jon has fared after her was unceremoniously booted off the gravy train that bears his family name- but Kate and Jon were spotted not fighting not too recently by TMZ photogs. Kate and the eight are slated to return to their TLC reality show tonight- the first episode, not coincidentally, deals with Kate being back on the market and looking.

London

Riots spread in London
Looting and arson by youths organizing on social media have moved into tourist areas of the capital and to Britain's second-largest city. Some see it not as a protest, but an opportunistic crime spree.

By Janet Stobart, Los Angeles Times

Looting and arson by gangs of youths spread Monday from poor northern districts of London to the south, to tourist areas of the capital and to Britain's second-largest city as police flooded the streets and announced scores of new arrests.

london underground map, london riots 2011, london tube map, london map, london tottenham  So, the city’s on fire, looters roam the high streets, maybe it’s kicking off in Birmingham and Leeds, too. Consider this an open thread to blame Twitter and praise the Big Society.

Prime Minister David Cameron and other senior officials broke off their vacations and returned to London to try to stem the worst outbreak of urban violence in Britain in a quarter-century. It started Saturday night after a peaceful protest over the police shooting of a 29-year-old man in an operation to control illegal firearms.

Some community leaders say the violence appears to also be a reaction to frustration over high unemployment and cutbacks in government services in mixed-race, low-income neighborhoods.

Others called it merely an opportunistic crime spree by youths who figured out that by organizing through social media, they could outwit the outnumbered police. Youths wearing balaclavas and wielding sticks and iron rods meet up to vandalize and loot shops where they can smash windows or break open the doors.

Shops shut early Monday evening and all London's district governing councils were on alert. Police warned residents to be vigilant as news of rioters fanned through the city. Some people out shopping or on errands found themselves caught up in aggressive mobs of youths.

By Monday afternoon, London police had arrested 215 people and charged 27 with burglary, theft and violent disorder.

Home Secretary Theresa May, who broke off her vacation to deal with the crisis, said 35 police officers had been injured since the riots began. May called the violence unacceptable. "There is no excuse for looters, thuggery or violence going on in the streets," she said.

Cameron was to hold a meeting of an emergency management team Tuesday morning london underground map, london riots 2011, london tube map, london map, london tottenham .

Violence has spread from the Tottenham district, where it broke out late Saturday, across other low-income, multiethnic districts in north London. On Monday, trouble broke out in the northeast borough of Hackney, and in the southern areas of Lewisham and Peckham, where buildings, cars and buses were set on fire and windows were smashed. Some looting was reported in Oxford Circus in the city center.

In Birmingham, Britain's second-largest city, youths broke windows and looted stores; police arrested at least 35 people. Rioting was also reported in Liverpool.

The number of police across London in full riot gear had been tripled since Saturday, Deputy Commissioner Stephen Kavanagh told the BBC, and more police were being brought in from outside the city. Mounted police moved in to support the ground force in controlling rioters in Hackney late Monday.

Many residents of the communities said they regarded the rioting as vandalism rather than a legitimate protest. But Elizabeth Pears, a freelance journalist from north London, also told the BBC, "There are a lot of angry young people, there is high unemployment and youth centers have been closed down, and there is a problem with relations between the people and police."

Critics say the government was ill-prepared to handle a law enforcement crisis. Government ministers were on vacation, and the London police force lost its chief and deputy chief, who resigned over the recent phone hacking scandal.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, who returned to London on Monday, said the riots had nothing to do with the death of 29-year-old Mark Duggan in the police action in Tottenham. "It was needless, opportunistic theft and violence," he said. He rejected criticisms that the government had left the country rudderless in a summer of social and financial troubles.

bank of america stock

boa, apple stock, bb t, aig, merrill lynch  Standard and Poor’s has just announced its downgrading of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — the latest fallout from Friday’s national credit downgrade.

Bank of America stock is down 9.42% on the session. The Dow Jones is trading down nearly 300 points. S&P 500 down 3.14%. Nasdaq is down 3.34%. Gold is trading at $1,703 per ounce.

Update: Dow Jones is now down about 360 points. Bank of America is down 10% since opening bell. Nasdaq is now down more than 4%. Dow Jones down 373 points. Gold has moved up $50 per ounce today alone.

Bank of America stocks tumbled 20 percent on Monday as investors reacted in part to a $10 billion lawsuit that the insurance corporation American International Group brought against the company.

The dramatic single-day drop was reminiscent of market plunges during the financial crisis of 2008, and stood out even amongst a market-wide spate of sell-offs that left the Dow Jones industrial average more than 600 points down on the day.

BofA closed at $6.51 on Monday, a 20.32 percent drop from the opening bell, after a day of rapid stock declines that saw the Dow shed 634 points. The Dow closed at 10,809 after dipping below 11,000 for the first time since November 2010, making Monday the sixth-worst trading day in Dow history.

Elsewhere in the market, the S&P 500 Index fell by 6.66 percent and the NASDAQ Composite closed at 6.9 percent down.

On Monday, AIG announced that it was suing Bank of America for more than $10 billion, alleging that BofA, and its acquisitions Merrill Lynch and Countrywide Financial, participated in “massive fraud” when they sold mortgage-backed securities to AIG between 2005 and 2007. AIG says that more than 40 percent of the mortgages were presented as being more secure than they actually were.

A spokesman for Bank of America has countered that AIG “is the very definition of an informed, seasoned investor” and should be held responsible for any purchases it made.

The slide in BofA stocks, the worst since April 2009, was reflected in declines among other major lenders. Citigroup was down 16 percent at the end of the day, Morgan Stanley closed down 14 percent, JPMorgan and Wells Fargo were each down 9 percent and Goldman Sachs fell 6 percent.

AIG’s own stock fell 10 percent to $22.58. boa, apple stock, bb t, aig, merrill lynch

Bank of America, the country’s largest banks by assets, has seen the value of its stock decline by 54 percent since the start of 2011. Last month, BofA reported losses of $8.8 billion in the second quarter, its worst quarterly earnings report ever.

On Wednesday, BofA CEO Brian Moynihan will answer shareholder questions during a 90-minute conference call. A press release from Fairholme Capital Management, a major shareholder with BofA, says that “skeptics are invited to participate.”

Monday’s market plunge is seen as a response to Standard & Poor’s historic downgrade of the United States’ credit rating last Friday, as well as concerns that Italy and Spain could slip into default as part of the worsening European debt crisis. Investors have also seen a series of disappointing economic reports in recent days, raising fears that the U.S. economy may be headed for a double-dip recession.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Bank of America shares plunged 20% Monday, fueled in part by a steep selloff in the broader market and news that insurer American International Group is suing it for billions of dollars over alleged mortgage securities fraud.

Bank of America (BAC, Fortune 500), the nation's largest bank, tumbled more than 20% while shares of AIG (AIG, Fortune 500) fell 10% on Monday. Bank of America has already lost nearly 49% of its value this year, while AIG has tumbled more than 59%.

Richard Staite, analyst with Atlantic Equities, said there were two main catalysts for Monday's selloff in Bank of America's stock.

First, the slump in Bank of America's stock is being triggered by more than just the AIG news. It's part of a broader market selloff that took other banking stocks down with it.

Citigroup (C, Fortune 500) shares fell 15.7%, JP Morgan Chase (JPM, Fortune 500) slumped almost 8.7%, Wells Fargo (WFC, Fortune 500) fell 9% while shares of Regions Financial (RF, Fortune 500) tumbled 13.5%.

Second, investors are losing confidence in Bank of America, he said boa, apple stock, bb t, aig, merrill lynch .

"Management has tried to reassure investors over the course of the last six months that they are getting on top of the mortgage problem but investors are very skeptical," he said, adding that there's really nothing that Bank of America can do to stop its stock price from falling.

There was more bad news for Bank of America. Credit default swaps (CDS) tied to its debt were at their highest level since May 2009.

Credit default swaps reflect the interest rates that Bank of America has to pay to borrow money. If they keep rising, Staite said it would exacerbate investor concerns about whether the company has enough liquidity to run its business.
Dow plunges 630 points after S&P downgrade

Hoping to allay those concerns, Bank of America spokesman Jerry Dubrowski said the company has no plans to raise additional capital. "We have enough capital to operate the business and execute our business strategy," he said.

Staite also said said he is not overly concerned about Bank of America facing a liquidity crunch anytime soon.

Separately, AIG is suing Bank of America's for alleged fraudulent activity that it claims "caused billions of dollars in damage" to its business.

AIG's lawsuit is specifically tied to hundreds of mortgage-backed securities that the insurer claims Bank of America -- and its Merrill Lynch and Countrywide Financial units -- knew were not top quality, according to published reports.

The insurer is seeking to recover more than $10 billion in losses from Bank of America on $28 billion of investments, in what could be the largest mortgage-security-related action filed by a single investor, the reports said.

"We are bringing this suit today to protect AIG and the taxpayers' stake in it," AIG spokesman Mark Herr said in a statement.

Bank of America responded to the lawsuit by saying that AIG "recklessly chased high yields and profits throughout the mortgage and structured finance markets."

"It is the very definition of an informed, seasoned investor, with losses solely attributable to its own excesses and errors. We reject its assertions and allegations," Dubrowski said in a statement.

AIG's Herr said Bank of America's comment was "disappointing but unsurprising."
0:00 / 1:04 AIG sues BofA for $10 billion

"Investors, no matter how sophisticated, were entitled to rely on [Bank of America's] numerous written representations about the securities it sold," he said. "Now that it is clear that those representations were false, Bank of America must be held to account."

Back of America received billions of dollars in federal bailout funds through the government's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) during the crisis of 2008.

In December 2009, Bank of America paid back all of the $45 billion in bailout money.
boa, apple stock, bb t, aig, merrill lynch The government also gave AIG a $182 billion lifeline to keep the insurance company out of bankruptcy at the height of the financial crisis.

That lifeline was offered in exchange for a near-80% stake in the insurer. AIG has paid back a portion of its loan, and the Treasury Department holds the rest in public shares, which it plans on selling over time.

In May, AIG sold 100 million shares, while Treasury sold 200 million shares. The government still owns almost 80% of the insurer.

Gold Price Update

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Gold prices soared above the $1,700-an-ounce barrier on Monday to set another record as the Standard & Poor’s downgrade of U.S. credit ratings amplified worries about global economic outlook, luring investors to the metal’s safe-haven appeal.
Gold futures for December delivery /quotes/zigman/661658 GC1Z +3.66%  spiked $54.10, or 3.3%, to $1,705.90 an ounce in electronic trading on Globex, more than recovering the losses it made in a regular session on Friday.

S&P chief explains downgrade

Standard & Poors chief David Beers discusses the downgrade. Courtesy Fox News Sunday.
Gold futures rose as high as $1,718.20 an ounce during the session.
The latest rally came in the wake of S&P’s downgrade Friday of U.S. credit ratings to AA+ from AAA. A decline in the U.S. dollar and hefty losses in Asian stocks aided the surge.
“The downgrade will no doubt weigh further on the already very negative sentiment towards the [U.S. dollar] and accelerate the pace of reserve diversification from” the greenback, Bank of America Merrill Lynch analysts wrote in a note.
However, they also said the short-term impact on the U.S. dollar would depend on the performance of risk assets in reaction to the S&P decision.
“It is conceivable that if the recent sell-off of risky assets were to continue, the [dollar] may even strengthen,” they said.
Gold prices and the U.S. currency often — but not always — tend to move in opposite directions, as the metal’s dollar-denominated price is used as the international benchmark.
The U.S. dollar index /quotes/zigman/1652083 DXY -0.40% , which measures the greenback against a basket of six other major currencies, fell to 74.117 from 74.306 late in New York trading Friday. Read full story on currencies.
Asian stocks also got a black eye as investors dumped equities and pared exposure to risk assets. U.S. stock futures pointed to a sharply lower opening for Wall Street, with futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average /quotes/zigman/1785993 DJ1U -1.68%  down 128 points. Read Asia Markets.
